Job Overview: A leading International Technology and Services Company in the Oil and Gas industry is seeking a Senior Drilling & Completions Onsite Consultant to support their growing petroleum engineering business in Norway.

Working for a Company that is at the forefront of innovative and integrated software solutions, consulting solutions and project management services, you will become proficient in a large suite of leading edge drilling and completions technologies, whilst working on the ground floor with the oil company users, helping them to maximize their petroleum production.

The Company's established technology solutions span exploration, production, drilling, business decision analysis and information management. Their Consulting Group integrates expertise and processes with advanced technologies, real-time workflows and robust information management processes, delivering enhanced value to their clients.

All to often, users do not know how to exploit fully the drilling and completions technologies they own. As production costs sore, it is vital that this workflow is maximised. With experience in well engineering, well planning and well bore design technologies; your role will be to help them to do so.

Working on site at an oil company client, you will build relationships with the petroleum and drilling engineering community, becoming in effect part of their asset team, understanding their workflows and the technical constraints and challenges they face. You will be proactive in demonstrating how to overcome these challenges and champion innovative working practices that maximizes the value of their current technologies.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Operations Manager for Drilling & Completions this role encompasses many functions including:

* Become proficient in the Company's portfolio of drilling and completions and data management technologies. Full training will be provided where required.
* Become proficient in the Company's implementation methodology and processes.
* Identify and build close relationships with the Client's petroleum and drilling community.
* Become the trusted advisor for all drilling and completions workflow matters at the client site.
* Ascertain your client's current workflows and devise a strategy to improve their workflow to maximize value in this area.
* Be proactive in promoting the improved workflow capabilities to the petroleum and drilling engineers and other relevant groups.
* Identify and document additional technologies required, help manage their implementation, build into their workflow and promote within.
* Provide advice and guidance for moderately complex problems relating to the operational use of their drilling and completions applications.
* Proactively transfer knowledge regarding technology updates and new product information to the engineers, and from the engineers back to relevant company personnel.
* Act in a professional and timely manner, ensuring client satisfaction is achieved at every point in the delivery of your consultancy.
* Develop professional relationships with team members, clients, and industry contacts.

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:

* A degree in a Petroleum Engineering or Earth Science subject essential.
* Knowledge of any of the Landmark's drilling and completions applications such as Dims, OpenWells, Compass, and/or Well Plan essential Experience may be working with, or supporting the application or providing training in the application.
* Understanding or knowledge of Landmark's more advanced tubular design technologies such as CasingSeat, StressCheck and/or WellCat highly advantageous.
* Experience of other industry drilling and completions applications advantageous.
* Excellent understanding of the full oil-life cycle, especially of the petroleum/drilling workflow essential.
* Highly analytical with the ability to resolve complex problems and articulate the solution effectively essential.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines, and conclude projects successfully essential.
* Previous experience in a consultancy role, in assessing technical requirements and the ability to succinctly convey into concise recommendations highly desirable.
* Good practical understanding of oil company data management highly desirable.
* Strong IT skills highly advantageous. Good understanding of Windows systems environment
* Good interpersonal and organisational skills required; adaptable, with a high degree of initiative. Must be able to handle challenging circumstances.
* Self-motivated and excellent team player, with the ability to work with all levels within the Company and Client, to accomplish goals.
* The ability to project confidence to your Client.
* Ambitious and assertive - ability to make bold recommendations and drive successful projects.
* Highly disciplined - with strong attention to detail.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Must be service orientated.

Salary: An attractive salary of between £60K - £75K (GBP) plus Company Benefits, is on offer dependent on skills and experience. The Company operates an attractive Bonus Scheme and membership to a Sports and social club. Relocation assistance offered where appropriate.
