Supporting production teams across Santos Production North operational sites, this role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your engineering skills in a wide range of value adding activities. Working in partnership with site superintendents, reliability engineers, maintenance and production personnel, you will use your engineering skills to deliver initiatives and technical support to achieve reliability, capacity, safety and cost effectiveness of all mechanical rotating equipment. Machinery Reliability Engineer - ER5453
Responsibilities will involve the investigation and identification of reliability gaps between actual and planned performance through:
- Collection and reporting of KPI’s for rotating equipment to effectively demonstrate reliability and focus areas
- Optimisation of gas compression equipment
- Initiating, developing and execution of improvement projects
- Participating in commissioning of new equipment, ensuring fully functional and reliable equipment is handed over to operations
You will need to be an experienced engineer, with a relevant degree qualification in mechanical engineering. A working knowledge of continuous improvement and plant capability within oil & gas processing facilities and equipment is essential. The ability to build strong working relationships but also work independently, as required, with effective problem solving skills is a key requirement.
