Now is a great time to join Shell as we are at the forefront of the oil and gas industry in Australia and a big player in the global energy challenge. We are currently investing significant resources in upgrading our Geelong Refinery. We are also looking for a highly motivated Emergency Response Officer to join the team at Geelong.
Responsibilities:
As part of the Emergency Response team you will be taking a leading role in a team trained to extinguish fires and respond to first aid situations. The position also involves working in confined spaces, lifting, climbing and working at heights. The position routinely maintains the refinery's response and safety systems and supports the operations of the refinery.
Requirements/Syarat Lowongan Kerja:
Your previous experience will demonstrate your strong commitment to safety, an ability to identify problems, implement solutions and to assimilate technical information. You will also have well-developed communication skills, initiative and be a team player.
You will have recent work experience in a technical or mechanical role in a manufacturing or similar industry, a sound understanding of industrial safety and emergency response procedures. Advanced fire and relevant first aid training and work experience in these areas would be advantageous. You also possess unwavering commitment to safety, environmental performance, teamwork and to our core values of honesty, integrity and respect.
The successful applicant will be required to work shift work.
