Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. (6087-M) has been operating for more than a century in Malaysia and is looking forward to more exciting and challenging years ahead. We are a successful multi-national company involved in the manufacturing, distribution and selling of energy and petrochemical products.
Shell Bitumen Malaysia is a cluster business unit covering Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The main function is to provide bitumen products and solutions to a wide range of business customers especially from the road industry.
You will be responsible for the overall sales and development of road related solutions in the Malaysia road industry. You will work closely with the operations, supply and technical teams. For this role, you are required to travel about 50% within Malaysia. You will report to the Bitumen Business Manager - Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
Responsibilities:
* To develop and manage the key Business-to-Business (B2B) customers from road/building construction;
* To ensure the delivery of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE), sales and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
* To grow the business, to formulate and execute the marketing initiatives and sales plans of the solutions portfolio;
* To identify and develop solutions portfolio with prospective customers independently and from leads through active prospecting;
* To build network with local authorities such as Public Works Department, Highway Authority, Airport Authority etc.
Requirements:
* Possess a Bachelor degree, preferably in Civil Engineering;
* Possess at least 3 years of working experience in the local road industry including road pavement construction;
* Possess technical experience with pavement related technology;
* Possess some working knowledge in bitumen specialisation, testing and properties;
* Proven communication and inter-personal skills;
* Sales and marketing experience is highly desirable;
* Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential for this position;
* Authorisation to work in Malaysia is required for this position.
